Rav Bariach Group Expands Its International Activity: Won a Contract for the Supply and Installation of Doors for the Metro Project in Colombia for Approximately $3 Million
As part of the contract, Rav Bariach will supply and install approximately 3,000 doors of various types for 15 stations on the first line of the Bogotá Metro * The Group is currently competing for an additional stage of the project that may double the scope of the deal.
Rav Bariach’s subsidiary in Colombia, RAV BARIACH COLOMBIA S.A.S., was selected as the winner of the tender for the supply and installation of doors for the Metro project in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. Within the framework of the project, Rav Bariach will supply and install approximately 3,000 doors of various types for 15 stations on the first line of the Bogotá Metro.
The Bogotá Metro is one of the largest infrastructure projects currently being carried out in South America. Rav-Bariach’s subsidiary has been operating in Colombia for about a decade, and the current win joins infrastructure, high-density construction, and hotel projects carried out by the company in the region, including the supply of doors for the Metro project in Chile.
In Israel as well, Rav Bariach has supplied doors and rolling shutters in recent years for commercial and security projects totaling tens of millions of shekels, including the BIG Glilot complex, the ICT Campus, the MAHARS (specialized security facilities), and additional IDF bases. The company notes that the expansion of production capacity, mainly at the company’s modern plant in Ashkelon, and the completion of operational efficiency measures implemented in the company last year, support the international activity expansion strategy.
Omer Yatir, VP of International Activity and Technology Product Development: “Winning the Bogotá Metro strengthens our presence in international infrastructure projects and joins the backlog of work in South America. The win shows the trust the Colombian subsidiary enjoys in South American countries. The operational revolution we performed in Israel, the expansion of production capacity, and the increase in the variety of products we offer customers—allow us to compete for large and complex projects, as part of the Group’s international activity expansion strategy in both the door and locking solutions fields.”
